In the third blog examining how young people around the world are fighting against climate and environmental damage, we head to the Philippines and meet Keidy Transfiguracion, a young woman fighting deforestation.
In 2006, environmental and justice campaigner Markus Bangit was killed trying to save his indigenous Filipino community and their forests from destruction.
Keidy Transfiguracion is continuing his struggle.
She is part of a growing global movement of young climate activists taking a stand against the climate crisis.
They’ll take their demands to the Paris Climate Change Conference in December.
The Youth on Climate project is a project of the Global Green Grants Fund.
